What a lot of people don’t understand is that fear is nothing but a lack of faith. If you have faith that you are good enough, worthy of happiness and strong, nothing can stand in your way. If you have faith, you actually understand that whatever is meant for you will happen – both positive and negative. This is different than deserving good or bad; it means that both will come to you.
With bullying, and other challenges we face from people’s behavior, we can take action, care for ourselves, and even gain a depth of experience that we can perhaps share with others, helping them through their own experiences. But we cannot control what others do, or what events arise for us. The only thing we have power over is ourselves and our minds, and that power is the strongest force of all. We try our best to get away from anything that’s painful, but if you don’t face the pain you’ll never tap into your own power.
It is not the event that’s important, but how you react. Whether we like it or not, unpleasant events are going to happen. Have faith that the Universe is running the show – not you. You can take external actions against a bully, but in your mind for the sake of feeling your own power, sit for as long as you can in the middle. Don’t beat yourself up when things don’t go as planned. The only way to know if you’re progressing is when you are tested. Events will manifest to test your calmness. Every experience that has scarred you in your life is your greatest gift, if you choose to make it so. That’s the real treasure – not a house, a car or the other possessions. They’re all illusions that pass through your life. What’s real about you are your battle scars.
Fear is not who we are, individually or as a planet. We are greater than fear. Fear is just the moment when we lose sight of ourselves. We are the creators of our own destiny.
Fear devastates our lives, keeps us in a mental prison, and is the root cause of most illness.
If you can let go of fear, you can have a happier, healthier and more productive life. Real faith is when you stand up for yourself and your own truth, even if you are going to walk away from a bully. It is a process that happens inside of you. No one can take that away from you.
